Biography
Cool under pressure and deadly with the putter, David Frost forged a reputation as one of South Africa’s most reliable performers on both the PGA Tour and around the world.
Turning professional in 1981, he went on to win 10 times on the PGA Tour, including the World Series of Golf and several other marquee events, while also capturing titles in Europe, Asia and at home in South Africa.
Frost spent extended periods inside the world’s top 10 rankings in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and later added multiple victories on the PGA Tour Champions, including senior majors and the South African Open and Nedbank Million Dollar Challenge among his global tally of around 29 professional wins.
Based between South Africa and the United States, he has long personified the dual identity of Sunshine Tour players: rooted in African golf, yet fully competitive on the biggest international stages.
