Andrew McLardy

Zimbabwe-born and South African-based, Andrew McLardy has been a steady presence in professional golf for more than two decades.

After a standout amateur career that included representing South Africa twice in the Eisenhower Trophy, he turned professional in 1997 and quickly made his mark on the Southern Africa circuit, earning five Sunshine Tour victories and a reputation as a reliable ball-striker who could contend on any layout.

McLardy used that platform to springboard into international golf, winning his card at the 1998 European Tour Qualifying School and later graduating from PGA Tour Q-School in 2000. He produced several strong performances against world-class fields, including multiple runner-up finishes at the Joburg Open, before returning to focus on Sunshine Tour and senior competition.

Now a regular on the Sunshine Senior/Legends Tour, McLardy brings with him the experience of a career spent straddling African and global stages – exactly the kind of seasoned competitor the Sunshine Legends era is built to showcase.
