Kenny Dube

Kenny Dube is one of South African golf’s great all-round professionals – a proven tournament player, highly respected club pro and a powerful role model for the next generation.

After starting his apprenticeship in the mid-1990s under coaches Roger Manning and Peter Nicholls, he qualified as a full A-class PGA professional in 2000 and began competing on the South African professional circuits, teeing it up in events such as the SA PGA, Swazi Open and Zimbabwe Open while working as a club pro.

Over the years he has served as Head Coach of the Eastern Gauteng junior development board, sat on the PGA of South Africa Board and Gauteng Central committee, and become a familiar face at regional and national pro-ams.

Based at Royal Oak Golf Club as Director of Golf and head of the Kenneth Dube Golf Academy, he now mentors a new wave of juniors and club golfers while still competing with distinction on the Sunshine Legends Tour, where he finished 3rd on the 2022 Order of Merit and has become, in the Tour’s own words, “the unpredictable maestro of the fairways.”

In 2018 he was named PGA of South Africa Professional of the Year, the first Black South African ever to receive the honour – recognition of both his playing record and his contribution to the game in clubhouses, academies and communities across the country.  A regular contender in senior events and the owner of a spectacular hole-in-one at the 2024 Nelson Mandela Bay Classic, Dube perfectly embodies what the Sunshine Legends Tour stands for: skill, longevity and using golf as a vehicle for opportunity and growth.
