A New Era For Legends

South African over 50’s professional golf has entered a bold era with the launch of the Sunshine Legends Tour and including a new brand identity, a new board and players’ committee, and an official partner in Srixon.


Ulrich van den Berg

The illustrious career of Ulrich van den Berg began when he first picked up a club at the age of eight. He was largely self-taught in his early years, and played most of his golf at East London Golf Club.

Paul Eales

Paul Eales is a popular figure within the Legends Tour, both on the golf course and in the commentary booth!

Doug McGuigan

Doug was born in Durban, and started golf aged 7. He took to the game immediately. However, he was equally passionate about football, and played provincial soccer for 9 years.

André Bossert

Not only is Andre an excellent golfer, but he also holds a BA degree in Marketing from Tulsa University as well as a diving certificate.

Simon Hobday

For the Sunshine Legends Tour, Hobday embodies exactly what “legend” means: world-class ability, a deep connection to Southern African golf, and a personality that made the game more fun for everyone—players, caddies and fans alike.

James Kingston, born 30th November 1965 in Ottosdal, South Africa, turned professional in 1988 and rose through the ranks across international tours.
